So, grab your iced tea, sit back, and let’s dive into some cool tips and fun activities to make the most of these scorching days! Staying Cool: Tips and Tricks to beat the Heat 🌬️❄️ 1. Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate:  Drinking plenty of water is key to staying cool and hydrated. Try infusing your water with fresh fruits like berries, citrus, or mint leaves for a refreshing twist. And don’t forget about herbal teas – iced, of course! They’re not only hydrating but also packed with health benefits. Check out our Healthy Tea Segments on You Tube @Whoseteatv3368 for some tea suggestions. If you're not a fan of plain water, try this refreshing watermelon juice recipe: Watermelon Mint Juice Recipe: Ingredients: 4 cups of cubed watermelon Juice of 1 lime A handful of fresh mint leaves Ice cubes Instructions: Blend the watermelon cubes until smooth. Strain the juice to remove any pulp. Stir in the lime juice. Pour over ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves. Enjoy this cool and refreshing drink! 2. Chill Out Indoors and beat the heat:  During the peak heat hours, it’s best to stay indoors. Create a cool oasis at home by closing the curtains to block out the sun, using fans, and keeping the air conditioning on. This is the perfect time to binge-watch your favorite shows, catch up on some reading, or dive into a creative project. 3. Refreshing Foods to beat the heat:  Enjoy light and refreshing foods that help you stay cool. Think salads, fruits, and veggies. Watermelon, cucumbers, and leafy greens are especially great. You can also whip up some tasty smoothies and frozen treats. Need recipe inspiration? See, one of my favorite treats below.     Banana-Flavored Italian Ice Recipe: Ingredients: 3 ripe bananas 1 cup water 1/4 cup sugar (or a sugar substitute) 1 teaspoon lemon juice Instructions: Blend the bananas, water, sugar, and lemon juice until smooth. Virtual Hangouts:  Stay connected with friends and family through virtual hangouts. Host a virtual game night, movie marathon, or even a virtual tea party. 2. Creative Projects:  Use this time to get creative. Whether it’s painting, crafting, writing, or cooking, let your creativity flow. It’s a great way to stay engaged and productive indoors. Gardening Tips to Stay Cool and Beat the Heat🌿☀️ Gardening is my creative project for today, and I know many of you love it too. Here are some tips to keep your outdoor garden thriving even in this scorching heat: 1. Timing is Everything: Water your plants early in the morning or late in the evening when it’s cooler. This helps reduce water evaporation and keeps your plants hydrated. 2. Mulch It Up: Use mulch around your plants to retain moisture and keep the soil cooler. It’s like a protective blanket for your garden! 3. Shade Your Plants: Use shade cloths or create temporary shades with umbrellas or old sheets to protect delicate plants from the harsh sun. 4. Dress for Success: When you’re out in the garden, make sure to wear a hat, light clothing, and sunscreen. Take breaks often to avoid heat exhaustion. 5. Stay Hydrated: Keep a bottle of water with you while gardening and take frequent sips to stay hydrated. • A Simple Green Juice That Helps

Embracing midlife vitality with a refreshing glass of energizing green juice. Midlife Energy Come Back to Life Kickstart Your Midlife Morning with the Ultimate Energizing Green Juice 🌟🥬 Midlife is not about “slowing down.” It is about becoming more intentional with how you live, how you think, and yes, how you nourish your body. If you are feeling tired more often, dealing with inflammation, noticing changes in your skin, or simply trying to stay ahead of aging, what you drink and eat matters. That is why this simple green juice has become a steady part of my wellness journey. It is refreshing, nutrient-filled, and designed to support the body we are living in now, not the one we had at twenty. Let us get into it. The Ultimate Midlife Energizing Green Juice 🌱 This juice is packed with hydration, antioxidants, and natural energy boosters. It supports digestion, skin, immune health, and that sluggish feeling many of us start to experience after 35. Yes, this one helps. I use the Nama J juicer but use whatever you have. Ingredients • One cup fresh spinach • One cucumber • Two green apples • One celery stalk • One-half lemon, peeled • 1-inch piece of fresh ginger • A handful of fresh mint • ½ cup water (optional if you like a lighter blend) Instructions Wash everything well. I like rinsing produce in water and baking soda. Cut your fruits and veggies into juicer-friendly pieces. Juice them one at a time. Add water if you like a smoother consistency. Pour into a glass, add ice if you want it chilled, and enjoy. That is, it. Simple. Fresh. Powerful. Why This Juice Matters Especially in Midlife This is not just “another juice recipe.” Each ingredient has a benefit that speaks directly to what many of us over 35 and 40 are experiencing. Energy that does not crash the apples give natural sweetness and clean energy, while greens provide steady fuel without sugar spikes. Supports digestion and bloating Ginger and mint help calm the gut, reduce gas, and support digestive health. If you deal with bloating, this helps. Hydration for skin and joints Cucumber and celery help hydrate from the inside out. Hydration affects everything from skin elasticity to how your joints feel. Immune system support Lemon, ginger, and greens help strengthen the immune system. When your body is under stress or hormones are shifting, immunity matters. Skin glow and aging support the antioxidants support collagen, help fight inflammation, and can contribute to brighter, healthier-looking skin. Helps your body detox naturally Not a harsh detox. Just natural support to help the body do what it is already designed to do. When Should You Drink It? For best benefit: :• First thing in the morning • Before coffee • Or as a midday reset instead of grabbing sugar or caffeine How Often Should You Drink It? 2 to 3 times per week is a wonderful start. Daily if your body tolerates it well. A Realistic Note Juice will not fix everything. It is not magic. But it is support. And in midlife, we need habits that support us. Pair this with: • better stress management • hydration • movement • rest • healthier boundaries • a kinder relationship with your body That is where the real transformation happens. A lineup of vibrant homemade juices in jars, featuring pomegranate, papaya, watermelon, and a green juice blend, prepared with a Nama J Juicer on a kitchen counter. A Gentle Reminder If you have diabetes, major health conditions, or are on blood thinners, consult your doctor before consistent juicing. Your health comes first. Midlife is not the end of your glow. It is the renewal of it. And sometimes, it begins with one glass of something good for you. Sip intentionally. Care for your body. And stay with me, because taking care of us, is part of this growth journey too. • How to Handle a Midlife Glow-Up

When Others Can’t 🫖 Whose tea is it really? If you've ever started glowing up. Then suddenly noticed the room got quiet. Friend you're not alone. See, when your mindset shifts, your circle reacts. Often not the way we hope. Not because you're doing too much!  But because you finally stopped doing too little. This isn't the soft, filtered kind of transformation they show on social media daily. The kind of transformation that rattles relationships.  Because of the real growth being displayed? It just happens to make people uncomfortable. ✨A Midlife glow-up isn't about getting cute. (it 's about getting clarity) It's that moment you say to yourself. I'm done shrinking myself that version of me they were comfortable with. You're not asking for permission anymore.  You're not bending to be liked. You're sure as heck not available for people-pleasing. You've outgrown the performance. You've shifted your mindset.  And now? You're walking in purpose. 🎥 Watch: A video with audio This video explains what happens when you finally choose yourself and how to handle the people who can't handle the new you. 👑 What You'll Learn in This Episode: Why glow-ups after 40 are more internal than external The emotional whiplash of healing in front of people who preferred your brokenness How to identify who's clapping out loud vs. clapping in private (or not at all) Why boundaries = freedom 🔁 Related Read: https://www.whosetteatv.com/post/midlife-audit-stop-the-energy-leaks-take-your-life  Before the glow-up hits, there's an audit. Make sure you've done yours. 🧠 Reflect: What mindset shift did you make recently that someone else couldn't handle? Was it saying no more?  Choosing peace over drama? Walking away from a job, a person, or a version of yourself? ✍🏾 Myss T's Challenge to You: Drop one word in the comments that represents who you're becoming. And send this to someone tired of apologizing for their growth. Because after 40, we don't play small—we play real. This is your midlife glow-up!  And not everybody will clap. But we will. Here at Whose Tea TV. ☕💎

  • Midlife Audit:

Stop the Energy Leaks & Take Your Midlife Audit Whose tea is it really? If you've ever whispered, I'm tired. But I don't even know why.  Then this is the video you didn't even know you needed. Because a Midlife Audit isn't just about money or career moves.  It's about checking your emotional, mental, and energetic bank account. Let me ask you: Are you overdrawn in places that don't even feed your spirit? Before we go deeper, let's get real for a second: Most people don't even realize they need a midlife audit… until they hit a wall. That wall?  Sometimes, it shows up dressed as a Midlife Crisis.  But what if that so-called crisis...  Was it actually your awakening? 🔁 If you haven't read this yet, start there, first:   Because in this episode, I'm breaking down the invisible leaks in our lives.  Where we're saying yes too much, ignoring the warning signs,  and staying loyal to a version of ourselves, that expired seasons ago. Time for a Midlife audit. 🎥 Press play below to hear what most people won't say out loud—until it's too late: Midlife Audit with captions for video and audio ✍🏾 After you watch, ask yourself: What's one area of your life that needs a full audit today?  Energy? Boundaries? Peace?  Drop it in the comments—or write it down and take your power back.

  • Midlife Crisis or Midlife Awakening?

The Choice is Yours I used to think a midlife crisis was just something that happened in the movies. You know the scene, the one where someone stares in the mirror. Then begin to question every decision they've ever made. Then they do something drastic, like quitting their job or moving across the country. But then I hit a moment where I looked around and thought, wait... how did I get here? Not in a bad way. But in a what's next?  Way. Because at some point, midlife isn't just about getting older—it's about realizing that you've been so busy living life that you forgot to build the one you actually want. And that's where most people get stuck. They feel like they've lost something. But what if they haven't lost anything at all? What if they're waking up? Is It a Midlife Crisis or a Call to Something Bigger? There's a moment when you stop feeling like you have endless time. That's not a crisis—that's clarity. You start seeing the dreams you shelved. The parts of yourself you ignored. The ideas you had but never acted on. And for the first time, you realize: If I don't do something now, I might never do it. That's not a crisis. That's an invitation. An invitation to become the person you always thought you'd be. Check out this blog post: Midlife Reinvention: How to Find Your Purpose After 40February 15, 2025 to take the first step toward your transformation. Midlife as a Reawakening Think about the people who made their mark later in life. Vera Wang was 40 before she designed her first dress.  Stan Lee didn't create Marvel until he was pushing 40.  Julia Child didn't start her cooking career until she was 50. They didn't hit a midlife crisis. They hit a midlife revolution. Because at some point, they realized that the best version of their life was still waiting. And it's waiting for you, too. What's Holding You Back? Most people don't take action because they're waiting for the "right time." But what if I told you the right time is a myth? There's never going to be a perfect moment. You're never going to feel completely ready. And if you wait too long, the fear of starting will outweigh the excitement of what's possible. So, ask yourself: 👉 What's one thing you always wanted to do?  👉 What's stopping you?  👉 And if you knew you couldn't fail, what would you start today? Rewrite Your Story—Starting Now Midlife isn't the end of your story. It's the moment you take the pen back. It's the moment you stop letting life happen to you and start deciding how it unfolds. And if you need help figuring out your next move, watch this: 🎥Watch this for more information Reignite Your Dreams & Take Back Your Future – Midlife Crisis Motivation https://youtu.be/ZzJOvSiXPPk Your future self is already cheering for you. • Subconscious Rewiring After 40:

The Truth About Affirmations and Midlife Glow-Ups After 40, change hits differently. The old self-help advice starts to feel like background noise—affirmations, vision boards, mantras that never land. But what if the problem isn't your effort… it's your programming? This isn't about motivation. It's biology. And if you've ever felt like you're running in place despite your growth, you're not alone—and you're not broken. This blog is your roadmap to understanding how your subconscious mind works, how affirmations really function (scientifically), and how to finally  shift the narrative that's been running the show behind the scenes. Let's rewire—not just reframe—your reality. How Your Subconscious Rewiring Shapes Your Reality After 40 The subconscious mind isn't mystical—it's neurological. It accounts for as much as 95% of your daily thoughts and behaviors . Dr. Bruce Lipton calls it a tape recorder: It replays patterns learned in childhood, most of them unconsciously formed before age 7. While your conscious mind is busy setting goals and moving forward, your subconscious is silently pulling the strings. It decides whether you will follow through, self-sabotage, or retreat back into safety. Why Traditional Affirmations Fail in Midlife You've heard it: "Say it. Believe it. Become it." But if your internal programming says the opposite? That affirmation feels fake. A 2009 study in Psychological Science  found that people with low self-esteem felt worse after repeating positive affirmations that didn’t align with their core beliefs. This is especially true when it comes to subconscious rewiring after 40—by then, the mind has learned to reject anything that feels fake, no matter how well-intentioned. But affirmations can  work—when they are emotionally resonant , believable , and aligned with your lived experience . That's when the brain's self-processing center (the ventromedial prefrontal cortex ) lights up, and fundamental transformation begins. The Neuroscience Behind Mindset Change Research in Social Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience reveals that well-crafted affirmations can reduce stress, shift perception, and create lasting change, when repeated consistently. Repetition isn't just a good idea. It's how the brain rewires itself . Through neuroplasticity, those new thoughts can literally override old scripts and reshape your identity. A 3-Step Subconscious Rewiring Plan After 40: For Midlife Reinvention This isn't spiritual bypassing. It's a grounded, science-backed system: Step One: Identify the Script Pick one area where you feel blocked—career, money, relationships, confidence. What belief is on loop? Examples: "I'm always behind." "No one values what I do." "I can't trust people." "I never follow through." Step Two: Rewrite with Emotional Precision Generic won't work. Recraft the belief in a way that feels true and future aligned . Examples: "I am building financial freedom through aligned, intentional choices." "My voice carries value, and the right people recognize it." "I protect my peace by choosing connections that honor me." Step Three: Repeat in Ritual Say your affirmations aloud every morning in the mirror. Record and listen to them before bed. Journal them daily to activate logic + emotion. Pair them with visualization for more profound rewiring. Repetition is not redundancy. It's neural reinforcement. Subconscious Rewiring vs. Reframing: Why the Glow-Up Starts Within After 40, we're not just chasing new goals. We're reclaiming the parts of us that were silenced, shamed, or overlooked. You can't affirm your way into a new life if your subconscious has been programmed or rewired for survival over success. This isn't about "thinking positive." This is about giving your nervous system permission to believe something new. That's how you reset. That's how you rise. Final Reflection: The Truth About Midlife Transformation ( Subconscious Rewiring After 40) Most people won't do this work. They'll repeat empty phrases and wonder why nothing shifts. But you  are not like most people. You understand that affirmations are just words—until the mind  believes they're safe to become true. So, ask yourself: What belief am I living by? What truth am I ready to claim instead? Your reality isn't waiting for permission. It's waiting for a new internal command. The reset begins now. — Myss T 🎥 Watch the full episode on Whose Tea TV : This video breaks down the truth about why most affirmations don’t stick If you’ve been stuck in survival mode, this is your cue. Let’s upgrade the beliefs behind the scenes so you can finally live the life you feel  deep down is yours. 💭 What belief are YOU ready to rewrite? 💬 Leave a comment below  with the affirmation you're claiming today. Ready to rise? Join the glow-up movement on Whose Tea TV  and follow along on Instagram @whoseteatv. When it comes to post-hysterectomy care, staying hydrated is crucial for maintaining overall health and aiding in the recovery process. Dehydration can amplify discomfort and hinder the body's ability to heal effectively, underscoring the importance of prioritizing hydration. Here, we will discuss the significance of hydration after a hysterectomy, provide practical tips for increasing water intake, and offer hydration-friendly snack ideas to make the journey to recovery smoother and more enjoyable. Personal Story: A Journey to Better Health After undergoing a hysterectomy, I quickly realized the vital role hydration plays in the recovery process. Dealing with post-operative discomfort and fatigue, staying hydrated was a challenge initially. However, by incorporating simple strategies and making conscious choices, I witnessed a significant improvement in my nether region and energy levels. My journey inspired me to share effective hydration hacks that can benefit others navigating a similar path. Importance of Hydration After a Hysterectomy Hydration is essential for numerous bodily functions and becomes even more critical post-hysterectomy. Adequate water intake helps prevent constipation, supports the healing of tissues, and maintains optimal organ function. Dehydration can exacerbate side effects such as fatigue, dizziness, and headaches, prolonging recovery time. By prioritizing hydration, individuals can enhance their health and expedite the healing process. Tips for Increasing Water Intake Set Reminders: Use apps or alarms to prompt regular water consumption throughout the day for hydration. Get a Reusable Water Bottles: Keep a handy water bottle with you to sip on water wherever you go. Infuse Your Water: Add fruits, herbs, or veggies (OKRA) to water for a refreshing twist that can make hydration more enjoyable. Thank me later Refreshing okra and lemon water setup, showcasing fresh ingredients for a hydrating blend. Recipe: Best Okra Water for Hydration Ingredients: 4-5 fresh okra pods Four cups of filtered water Three lemon slices (optional) One teaspoon honey or agave syrup (optional) Instructions: Prepare the Okra: Wash the okra pods Pat them dry with a clean towel. Cut off the ends of the okra pods and then slice them lengthwise. Infuse the Water: Place the sliced okra pods into a large glass jar or a pitcher. Pour water over the okra If you prefer a tangy flavor, add the lemon slices to the mixture. For a touch of sweetness, you can also add honey or agave syrup. Refrigerate: Use a mason jar with lid Refrigerate the mixture for at least 8 hours, or overnight. Strain and Serve: After the infusion period, remove the jar or pitcher from the refrigerator. Use a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to strain the okra slices from the water. Discard the okra slices or save them for another use, such as adding to soups or salads. Enjoy: Pour the infused okra water into a glass and enjoy it cold. It is a refreshing and hydrating drink, perfect for hot days or after a workout.    Benefits of Okra Water: Hydration: Okra water is an excellent way to stay hydrated, especially during hot weather or after physical activities. Nutrient-Rich: Okra is packed with essential vitamins and minerals, including vitamins A, C, and K, as well as magnesium and calcium. Digestive Health:  The soluble fiber in okra can help support digestive health by promoting regular bowel movements and preventing constipation. Antioxidants: Okra contains antioxidants that can help protect your cells from damage caused by free radicals. Tips: For a more intense flavor, you can let the okra water infuse for up to 24 hours. If you find the texture of the water to be slightly viscous due to the mucilage from the okra, you can dilute it with more filtered water to your preference. Adding a few mint leaves or cucumber slices can enhance the flavor and provide additional health benefits. Enjoy your homemade okra water for a delicious, hydrating, and health-boosting drink!   Hydration-Friendly Snack Ideas Ensuring adequate hydration doesn't have to be limited to just drinking water. Incorporating hydrating foods into your diet can also contribute significantly to your overall fluid intake. Here are some delicious snack ideas: Watermelon Slices: Refreshing and hydrating, watermelon is an excellent snack choice post-hysterectomy. Cucumber and Hummus: Cucumbers have a high-water content, and when paired with protein-rich hummus, they make a satisfying snack. Greek Yogurt Parfait: Greek yogurt is not only a reliable source of protein but also contains water, especially when mixed with fresh berries. Including these snacks into your daily routine can help you stay hydrated while enjoying delicious and nutritious food options.
